So Your Metering Difference Looks OK…. Most PAs are aware that they should be doing a metering difference across their flow networks to ensure volumetric balances are within +/- 5%. There is a second metering difference balance that can be done at the component level that will tell a PA about the quality of their hydrocarbon gas and liquid analysis data in the network. In this session we will: 1) Review why metering differences occur, 2) Review AER’s expectations around metering differences, 3) Introduce metering difference calculations at the component level, why it’s important and what it tells you, 4) Look at how to calculate the component metering difference, and 5) Look at Case Studies of plant data and component balances. |

Ctrl-Alt-Delete Give the Re (Boot) to Work Life Balance
Only 23% of working Canadians are highly satisfied with life. In fact, one-third of Canadians feel they have more work to do that time permits. Work-life balance is not a gender issue. Men have the same issues balancing career and family as women do and also struggle with obtaining work-life balance. With technological advances coupled with more women in the workforce due to economic pressures, work-life balance can seem evasive and unobtainable for all. In this relevant, practical yet humorous session, participants will learn essential tools, tips and strategies to minimize stress, maximize efficiency, improve productivity and boost positivity both at work and at home. Key takeaways of this session will be: 1) Why more time does not mean more balance, 2) Five key stress busters that are essential for a healthier, happier and more balanced life, 3) Tips and tools for difficult conversations at work and at home, 4) The high cost of always saying “yes”, and 5) Retrain your brain for positivity. |
