CAPPA, in collaboration with the University of Calgary and the Emerging Technologies team, invite you to attend this important Info Session.

This event will introduce you to Project Dante which includes a number of user friendly programs, two of which will be the focus of this information session:

  • Carbon and Methane Emissions Reduction program (which includes carbon reduction strategies, modeling, alignment with regulation and incentive programs)
  • Blockchain

Background:

The University of Calgary and a small team of Engineers have been busy forming an unbiased Emissions Reduction team to develop a universal and powerful software tool (Project Dante). Dante addresses Government incentives and all regulatory frameworks for reducing our Green House Gas (GHG) and increasing its calculated relevant credits fairly and to all energy producers across the provinces (Canada).

Project Dante will become a Turnkey Environmental solution with the highest level of security (at UofC); it will function non-biased and ethically, and also keep service and vendor neutrality. Goals include exceptional client side deliverable's (without private or commercial strings), and will use actual policy and procedures from AER directives (such as Directive 17 and Directive 60) up to and including the parent ISO standards. Dante is meant to economically and properly address the provincial and federal reduction goals, respects the Paris Agreement, is spawned from a Kyoto Protocol footprint and will support the true concerns required of earth disciplines. Project Dante's core is a proposed emitter database that is the engine to provide unfettered environmental stewardship and control over measured and verified data.

We will also look at another one of Project Dante outcomes, Blockchain. This includes the research and development of output ledgers, data hive interfacing, IoT triggering, Smart Contract contributions and more.

This project will be of significant importance to the Oil & Gas industry and specifically to those receiving the invitation.

Session Contributors:

Craig Green - Project Dante Founder and Senior Blockchain Developer for Artificial Intelligence

Paulina Szewczyk - Contract Project Specialist - Grants

Sheila McFadyen - CAPPA Block Chain Application Lead

Blake Wickland - Field Services Factors for Global Blockchain triggers

Stephen Cartwright - Data Visualization Lab, Data Crypto Security and Blockchain Team Lead
