Overview:

Participants will gain a practical understanding and receive useful guidelines to implement the five basic components of an EPAP process. Priorities are given for producing companies, processors and pipelines that report into Petrinex to work effectively with production measurement and reporting controls for value-adding results. Some How-Tos and Whys will be presented to develop controls, perform control evaluations, summarize conclusions, prepare and submit annual Declarations, and implement remedial actions. Emphasis is on minimizing risks of uncertainties and errors.


In the morning session we will go through a normal EPAP implementation cycle for Control Performers to work with sensible controls and participate in control evaluations where evidence is documented for Theme conclusions. Preparation steps will be covered for submitting the annual Declaration and to set Remedial Actions.


The afternoon session covers ways that maximize effectiveness between control performers and target continuous improvement. Pitfalls are discussed to avoid surprises in noncompliance notifications with additional follow-up requirements.

David Penton


David is an EPAP and measurement specialist with more than 30 years of experience in oil and gas production, operations, exploration and development roles. David graduated from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in Calgary, Alberta with a diploma in Engineering Science in 1981 and from the University of Calgary with a Management Certificate in May 2000. He is a director of two companies which are: Dapenco Inc., a consulting services provider, and Measurement Matters Inc., a developer of flaring and venting software.

The following refund policy applies to this event:


Full refunds will be given if cancellation to CAPPA occurs prior to midnight on April 2, 2018


A 50% refund will be given if cancellation to CAPPA occurs prior to midnight on April 10, 2018


Refunds will not be given after April 10th.

A $20 administration fee is applies to full and partial refunds.


Registration, however, may be transferred to another attendee without an administration fee. Please notify CAPPA of the transfer to another attendee. The original registrant would be responsible to sort the payment out offline with the new attendee.
